Standard of Passing:

  • To Pass the Semester Examination, a candidate must obtain at least 40% marks in each paper at the University Examination and also in the total of University Examination and Internal Assessment added together.
  • Award of Classes:

Semester as per the 7 point scale grading system as under:

40 to 49.99 E   Pass
00 to 39.99 F   (Dropped)

(i) The candidate shall have to secure “E”  grade in each Semester for passing

(ii) The passing criteria shall be implied in accordance with the rules/ordinance implemented by the Sardar Patel University from time to time for CBCS programmes.

Notes:           

(1)      For Awarding University Gold Medal/s, performance of the Candidates in External University Examination shall only be considered.

(2)      Candidate passing any semester Examination in compartments will not be eligible for award of Gold Medal.

The students will be required to earn stipulated credits per course per semester for obtaining the        LL.B. Degree as shown below:

(i)         The credit per course is determined as One Credit equivalent to One Hour of study for the duration of 15 weeks per semester with not less than 24 lecture-hours per week.

(ii)        The workload of a faculty shall be determined considering the total number of lecture-hours of study.
